Way cool, I read an article about thoes guns being great for HD, at olny 37.5 inches long it's short enough to work indoors. They liked them over an AR, AK, or sub-guns platforms because they are more politicaly friendly, and not the "Deathmaster 2000", it is a John Wayne gun, nothing evil or tactical about that. and like you said very multi-purpose.
I've got a deathmaster 2001, that the upgraded version. It's a great rifle, very functional and utilitarian. However, it's also what sits under the bed along with my 12 ga to protect our homestead.
With the .44 magnum it's powerful enough for deer, and defense against grizzly if I ever found myself west of the Rockies. However, it's not overly powerful. In addition I can run .44 specials and use it for small game.
On my way into work each morning I often see deer, turkey, boar, and on and on.... In florida we divide the season up in terms of Archery, Muzzle loading, and General gun. During each of these seasons what ever is in front of you is fair game and long as you're using a bow during archery season, a muzzle loader during muzzle loading etc.... I wanted a gun that could shoot what's in front of me and not have to worry about being over or under powered.
