I never pondered that particular point. I have to agree with it. It is a sensitive subject. I have always been on the strong side of you made your own bed sleep in it. I am slowing changing. At some point the million and billionaires exploiting the population have a right to support and aid those less fortunate. How much money do you truly need? If we spent is much money reforming welfare as we did on the war in Irag, it would likely cease to exist.

So because someone got off their butt, worked hard, made a lot of money, it's now their responsbility to go around and take care of people? That begs the question of why should anybody work hard when we can let someone who's been financially successful take care of them.

I'm sorry but I'm really tired of this line of thought. My wife and I are in that top 1-2% income bracket. And I constantly hear it. Were there because we got up off our butts and got an education, put in our dues, and work 5 days a week like everybody else.

I've battled a life long learning disability, school has never come easy to me, but I never whined about it. Instead I put that energy back into getting an education. It took longer than expected but I got there.

My wife is a dentist. She started her practice on $300.00 after she got out of dental school. Yes, that three hundred dollars. She worked 6-7 days a week, 10-14 hours a day to build up her practice. She was on call 24 hours a day and we often cut a day out or a long weekend short to go take care of an emergency.

It's not called oppression it's called opportunity. We created/took advantage of the oportunities that were in front of us. We put in our dues at the bottom, and worked our way up the ladder to our present position. If the masses don't want to take advantage of that so be. But don't expecte me to become everybodies welfare check.

Rant Off
