VoxHog, thanks for the info, I'll stick with my lovely res-C DF and give the R-W a miss; as they are near as darn it the same weight
For a dedicated chopper I definitely agree that I want my DF!
For a compromise knife, good for chopping and other stuff too, I find the RW a lot more nimble. It starts smaller (still a honkin' big knife) and has a very comfortable choil so that you can choke well up on your grip.
For the same weight as the DF I'm warming up to the RW + Rat Warden combo.
Right now I've got a piggyback sheath on order that will carry the Ratweiler and Swamp Warden. That combo should easily carry me through just about anything around here and then some.
I would love to see a pic of this piggyback rig when you get it.
