re: Calif smog test

Normally we gotta smog test every 2 years.

But if car is new.. you can defer the test for 6 years by paying an extra "fee" with your registration.. goddam extortion i tell ya!

Luckily motorcycles do NOT have to be smogged.. but dirtbikes do need to have spark arresters.

So hot rodders are pretty much SOL in this state.. unless they have a 1975 or older vehicle (smog exempt).. or rod out their motorcycles instead..
