Even in leather, a 3 knife sheath will be very impressive.
Your right about it not being impossible. You just need a long enough main blade (DF). Then do a "tiger stripe" styling when you put the smaller sheaths on the main sheath. It would be interesting.
A cool 3 knife kydex sheath would be one that use the AK-47. You can add a bunch of offset normal kydex sheaths. That would look insane. Of course, the molding of the sheath would be interesting. Your gonna need a lot of flat space along the blade that is on the same plane as the rivets.
But, that would be quite a project!!!
