I am a bit of a history buff, so I appreciate these posts. With all the mideast turmoil we see today, it's good to learn some of the historical origins that led to the current situation that affects all of us. One of the things I enjoy most about this forum is the things I learn that are not directly related to the fine SY knives we all enjoy. I would enjoy an off topic forum a lot. Since most of the dogs treat each other with respect, our disagreements have been civil and educational. Some other forums that I have visited are full of vitriol and personal attacks. I have seen extremely controversial subjects discussed on this forum without such unpleasantness. But the knife forum needs to be about Scrap Yard knives. From now on, I will post any comparisons I do over on the Outdoor forum, so as not to clutter up the knife forum.
Cold One, is there some way we could combine Outdoor and Off topic discussions for our wandering minds?
Hey Vic,
If events in the middle east interests you, may I recommend the Gabriel Allon series of novels by Daniel Silva . It is these books that have spiked my interest. They are fantastic.
