Just got back from a little more testing. I went up my street a bit and there's a small portion of undisturbed forestry that I jumped into.
Here's a view of P-town coming in.

But on with the testing. The first thing I did was chop down a small branch with my FBM to have a little place to hang my Camera Bag. (no pictures though)
Then FBM chopping turned to YKLE Chopping.
One swipe was all it took for the YKLE to get through this branch. Quite a good little knife.

Here's a close up

So the real purpose of the me coming wasn't just to test the YKLE, but I wanted to harvest a small sapling. Using the old bend and cut method I got this sapling quite easily with the YKLE.

So after that, I went home to get the sapling skinned and ready to be dried for more fire wood to practice on.
As you can see, it's not too bad a size for a sapling.

After a few minutes I got all the bark off. Made quite a mess, though, I cleaned up the bark and am saving it to make some dry tinder.

The YKLE comes out triumphant.

Though perhaps a little dirty.

Well, I gotta say, I love this knife before, and I still do. Though I need to do some more testing. Let's say some tip work, some prying, some body-weight tests, etc., etc....
I'm gonna let the sapling and bark shavings dry for a couple of days or weeks and then one with a some more fire making. Fun, fun, fun!!
Enjoy!!
