It is a 2x4 made from fatwood.

You can see the sap impregnated in the wood.

I did it again and still the edge did not dent. WHOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!! As you can guess, I'm gonna set the pile of little sticks on fire. Hehehe...
I used nothing but what I had, no cotton balls, no magnesium. Just fatwood and a flint striker.
Got it going. Yay, fire with fatwood.

Awesome stuff! I thought I would put out the fire but I had another oblong piece of fat wood that needed to be burned, so I placed it in the fire.

All in all, the YKLE came through for me. It got a good nice fire going for quite a good while. I'm really happy with the little knife.
