If Dan won't make a sword i would suggest the Cheness 9260 through hardened shirasaya katana. I have one made into a custom and they are tough enough to chop up cement and are about 200$.
I would love a kukuri. Rosarms has some nice ones on the way. The handle is brown micarta and the steel is a Russian super stainless like BG-42 with some titanium. The fit and finish is fantastic on the Rosarms knives I have. I had this knife (The Fox2) but with the stacked leather handles rather than the birchbark in the photo.
I wonder why no Scrapsword? Probably they are to hard to make and to expensive.
