The rains have let up for a day or so. My yard is a jungle. I've been using my lawn tractor, push mower, and weedwhacker. But some of this is machete and knife work. Usually I use a large folder for trimming the little lower suckers on the wax mytles along the road. Today, I'm going to give the puppy a real workout.

I usually use the 18" Tramontina for the bigger stuff and the RT for the more precision trimming. It doesn't slice into the tree trunk.

Little stuff like this is best done with a small knife.

The Mud Puppy did just fine.

I think the mytles look better with the lower trunks trimmed. Interesting shapes.

Stopped for a quick snack of wild berries. They grow all over my property.

Now I'll go out back for some more strenuous testing.

For light trimming, the RT is just fine, but I would not baton with it.

The thicker MP should be able to do small pieces.

No problem. No broken point, either. I didn't actually pry with it. I just let it wedge the piece off. I have had bad luck prying with 154 CM.
I'm beat. I did a lot of machete work out back. Lets the beeze in from the river.

I think to MP is a fine little utility knife. I may just take off the belt loop and carry it in my pocket.
