First time home buyer? (if not then skip)

our first home purchase 9-yrs ago we were all Scared.. we sweated all the little stuff.. got all Wound up! and it was only $89k! shooot.. some Car payments are higher than that now!

Real estate market took off like a Rocket here shortly thereafter.. sold that house for $150k just a Couple years later! (coulda got > $250k NOW but don't look back!)

Anyways.. wife & I decided to build a New house on 1 acre of land.. oh that was an Experience to say the least! we made Lots of compromises.. wasn't *the* Dream house of all our dreams.. but we made out nicely.. have the Big backyard that we've always wanted, etc. and we didn't sweat it this time! took things in stride.. tried to relax thru the process (took 11-months to build! ::sigh::)
And everything worked out just fine!
We built this house for $160k, refi'd a year later it appraised at > $250k, my neighbor (which has exact same model) Just refi'd months ago and these houses appraised at > $350k.

So Real Estate is ALWAYS a Good buy!
