Actually... Just to confuse matters, Combat Grades are not always coated. They are also occasionally offered in double cut.

For lack of a better definition, when it comes to Busse & related companies, if it isn't a Limited Edition or a competition edition it is a combat grade!

I think the basic premise is that it is the cheaper of the two option to offer more bang for your buck rather than the collector value of the limited edition ones.
