good lord,i just spent 2 hours reading up on things,whoo!!!...thats a lot of info for one intoxicated brain.i do find it all very interesting but will keep my thoughts to myself and let my wallet do the talking,or not, oops.

i liked the look of the bravo 2 as soon as i saw it but its lack of chopping capabilities makes it not that good of a camp knife for my needs.i personally dont need 7 inches of knife if it wont chop and thats because i camp a lot.

the finish on barkies is really great and especially for the money.they have that fine, classy, refined finish you usually cant get unless its in an expensive custom pieces that was hard to even find in the first place.

scrapyard finishes are like everything else regarding them,to the point,no b.s.
looking forward to hell, ready for war, looking for abuse and ready for more.

a barkie will spank a scrapyard out of the box concerning edge and cutting/slicing with that refined convex edge but nothing can mess with a scrapper when it comes to 3:00AM-ANBAR PROVINCE-SUSPECTED HIGH LEVEL TANGO HIDE OUT-RAID and you know you can count on your scrapyard knife to do ANYTHING you ask of it,even if you ask it to pull crowbar, entry tool, haligan tool duty, you name it.

hell,it'll even stop a .45 if need be.so what does that mean??....rig your scrapyard knife kydex MOLLE rig sheath on you MOLLE vest right in front of your heart.

so what a scrapyard cant keep as good of an edge.thats not why you carry a scrapyard knife and thats not why they make'em .250-.285 !!!! thick and out of jack hammer bit steel.you wanna slice something get a mora.you wanna take a SWAT TEAM raid van or up-armored HUM-V into hell than take some SR77.

is that what we do with our scrapyaed knives,no.but it makes us feel cool.

MS was real quick to flaunt the fact that the recon boys liked his knife and he even named it after them and that IS a testament to his quality cutlery and its cool to name it after them......also helps sales too......but i wonder how many busse kin knives have made it into SF hands one way or another or have been the chose of SF boys??.....oh yeah, thats right, the busse boys keep that to themselves.TOP SECRET

all in all i chose the SOD.i do own a bravo 1 and micro canadian 2 and love them and have given the BRAVO 1 a very rough time.i got drunk last night and started stabbing it into 3/32 inch steel as hard as i could last night tip first and it did superb.

i'm rambling.
