There is a coffee table book called "Doors of San Miguel" that is really neat. Great photos of well, doors. The church/Parroquia is neat but can't compare with those of Europe. The Europeans had a head start though right. I sat in there a few times to collect my thoughts.

Oddly, I remember the way it all smells, the whole country, the state of Guanajuato, El Gato Negro.

OH! You have seen Desperado with Antonio Banderas? It was filmed in Acuna, which I have spent entirely too much time in. Well the sequel, Once Upon a Time in Mexico, was filmed in San Miguel. It gives you some cool things to look at and you can eat where Depp ate if you are so inclined.

Depp apparently loved SM and stayed there an extra month. There was a big picture of him in Poncho and Leftys.
