keeping rust off of 52100 steel where i live would be a headache.i'm sorry,52100 just rusts too easily for me to desire it in a satin finish.

say one was in the woods and had the knife out using it in which ever way while it was raining really good i wouldnt be surprised to see rust start forming within an hour or two.this is something any knife of mine is sure to see numerous times.

it wouldnt be the end of the world just more like a constant struggle.i personally will never do 52100 & 5160 in satin if its anything i plan on using.

in my experiences the SR77 doesnt really take on thick,heavy rust like the higher carbon steels and instead seems to develop a light tarnish instead which is better.some might consider it a patina.

i'll be all over the CG version which i guess to see released at or around BLADE 09.

that LE is a nice knife though and looks real sharp.

i wonder if we'll ever see CG versions of the HCLE,MPLE & BDLE?????
