KG,

I've decided to stick with the M9.
Put my order in a few weeks ago, but have been second guessing myself
since the NM went to the Busse Store.
It was tempting, but I already have 2 8-inch knives that are pretty good,
and the M9 will do great for me.

No Regrets

Well, I still say that as far as to which one is "better" between the two, it is still hard to say until we have both in hand to actually compare.

I still say that for most everyone SR-101 is PLENTY tough with no significant known damaged SR-101 blades with the exception of one that may have (likely) had temper damage done by custom grinding.

And I personally feel that SR-101 has exceptional edge properties on par with INFI.

And again, based on size and shape, I would still guess that the M9LE and NMSFNO will VERY likely be pretty darn close in actual performance (best guess ????).

Looks are subjective and I personally think they are both pretty nice looling, but I am HUGE fan of SATIN!!!

If what is left is fit and feel in the hand, again, I would guess they are likely to be close, just balance a bit different.

So, since the M9LE is SATIN and saves you a LOT of money even if the NMSFNO is a good buy for INFI, then I would have to say the M9LE is "Likely" a VERY good bet!

I guess my only question about the M9LE is what I would use it for. It is not likely to be as good a chopper as a DFLE or Battle Rat.

I am anxious to feel it in hand for balance and feel. I wasn't a fan of the M6. I felt the M6 was WAY too handle heavy. But, a 9 inch blade changes a lot.

We'll see. I am pretty optimistic about the M9LE.

JYD #39 I prefer "SATIN" blades!!!
