Yeah... River-8 has been around for a long time. I have actually exchanged some emails with him about some SAR designs in the past. His name is John.

I don't want to post too much about our SAR ideas, thoughts and attempts..... But, I will just say that River-8 (ended up) taking his SAR concept to Bill Siegle and had Bill make what turned out to be a VERY nice knife. ... I want one.



My understanding is that Bill is tweaking a 3rd version (??????) That along with some other knives I want from some makers I don't follow as much like a couple of Koster knives, some NWA knives, and some others that I haven't been able to just plunk down cash for .... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> ... yet. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crossfingers.gif" alt="" />

I actually see River-8 on Bladeforums/Busse-forums more than Rat Chat.... Used to be different.... but, Rat Chat isn't nearly as active as it used to be a few years ago. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> .... However, we didn't have the Scrap Yard forum then either.... so it (sort of) works out I guess. But, many of the old Rat Chat guys don't come here.
