Come on now, what about pink? I would buy one, for the same reason I am going to buy a pink Charter Arms revolver and Walther P-22. Pink represents Breast Cancer and since I have a few members in my family battling it and in remission I think it is great. I don;t know if there was a pink Bussekin if any of it would go to the Breast Cancer Foundation, but it would be great if it did.
Sumo.... I am assuming this to be a joke and this seems like a "Touchy" trap that you have laid hoping to snare somebody with. But, I am going to take a shot at it anyway.
-------
Well.... if you are buying it "FOR" a girl, then maybe. But honestly,.... NO, I still don't like it. (* I know some girls want pink knives and pink guns.... But, just sayin'....... if nothing else, I am hoping it is JUST girls wanting things in pink.)
However, I acknowledge, this is just my opinion. There are lots of things I don't like or agree with that others do like or agree with. So, I can't say I am right and others or wrong. Just my opinion.
But, this is a "Knife" forum. It seems to me that a certain amount of "Manliness" should be expected and maintained around here... NO???
The MAN rules in MY book that go with my MAN card say pink is for GIRLS ONLY.
Now, I can't seem to find the exact page/paragraph, but I could swear that the color pink is NOT to be used on knives or guns and doing so is in some direct conflict with owning any true certified man card. There is likely to be some sub-paragraph section somewhere that allows MEN of good manly standing to wear some (small) symbolic "Pink" gesture "IF" and "AT" the "Specific" "Appropriate" time like a Breast Cancer benefit function or similar. However, owning or suggesting Pink as a color for a "MANLY" object such as a knife or gun....... well... that would seem to beg a few questions.
The only acceptable "PINK" I know of for Men is PINK FLOYD. There might be another exception (????????), but I REALLY don't know it.
Such honorable, respectable and MANLY things as Guns and knives should not be pink - IMO..... even if for girls. Now I know that is a bold statement, but let me say: I am a Pinkaphobe.... there. I admit it.
I want to be clear that in NO way do I mean to discredit the good intentions of honoring Breast Cancer or trying to create/support cancer awareness. Both of my parent died from cancer and I think it is great that people want to .... ... well.. honestly, I don't understand why anyone would feel everything needs to be pink to honor whatever cancer. At some point, are you REALLY creating or supporting awareness by owning a pink knife or gun????? Or just justifying pink (????) Still, I do think it is great people hope to help find a cure, or support or create awareness. But, I do NOT feel guns and knives need to be made Pink in order to honor such things.
Did I mention cars and motorcycles should NOT be pink either. O.K. the list is long, but those are a few things I am sure MEN should not own in PINK.
IMO - and again, no disrespect, there are MANY things you can give to women to honor Breast Cancer that are more appropriate in Pink and MUCH more appropriate than "dis-honoring" guns and knives by making them pink.
Sorry if I have offended anyone here. However, for anyone so easily offended by such comments, please turn in your Man Card.
