Like Mike said make sure to see the Grand Tetons! Most of the sites at Yellowstone are spread out, you need to drive to most of them, special geysers, colored springs, formations, with lots of walking! Be ready to walk tons!
Some geysers only erupt yearly so going to them is a gamble, others like "Old Faithful" are packed but they have someone talking in-between blows.
Your guide book will be very useful for planning out each outing and don't forget to ask the park people for tips on what's hot that day (pun).
Things are expensive around there, towns, lodging etc but very nice. Be ready for the smell of sulfur! mmmm rotten eggs lol
