IMJ, was yours one of the Accusport models?
I would normally agree with you on the DA thing for most people but I have shot SAA all my life and I am pretty good with it, especially coming out of a cross draw holster. For me, finding components is easier in .45 than .44 since I am set up to reload, and will be casting my own bullets this fall.

On Linbaugh, Clements, and Bowen--I would love one of their creations but I will settle for the .45 Colt pushing .454 Casual zone.
