After using and abusing the m9le in satin SR101, I don't think I would buy another satin SR101 knife any time soon. It's an awesome blade, but it definitely gets rust stained pretty easily. I think I'd prefer my SR101 coated from here on out. It might even be worse than 1095 in regards to rusting, and every single piece of 1095 I own is coated, for good reason.
Thanks for your input MM. I do not have any satin SR101 blades so it is very helpful to hear your experiences. How about the rust resistance of 154CM? I use my Scrap Muk for food preparation and I have not had problems with rust.
