So over on Bladeforums, they have been talking about a special release of 23 year Old Rip Van Winkle bourbon, and it got my mouth watering. Now, I'm not gonna spend $3-400 on a bottle of bourbon, since I'm more of a Scotch man, so I decided to hit a quality package store nearby and look for some of the 15.
I walked into my package store, and all I could find was the 10 year old. I figured, at that point - why bother? I've got bottles of scotch that will easily beat any measly 10 year old bourbon. So I asked one employee if they had the 15, and he said the ten was all they had - so I asked another, then another. Finally, the fourth employee looked like he had a clue, but was sure they were out of the 15. In the end, I had to settle for this:
