The Pits Bro.....I am confused....how can you say that the muck is better as a hunting knife and then in the next line say that the BD is better at pretty much everything that a average hunter will be using a knife for.
The question is; What blade is better for a hunter? I am a hunter and have been a long time. I carry a knife that will allow me to complete the task of processing game on site. The average "hunter" takes a knife that will allow a multitude of game processing possibilities. It also depends on what the intended game is. If I were going deer hunting I would want a knife that would allow me to gut, skin, and butcher a animal of that size. A Muck would be great at doing such and for that matter so would a Bird Dog. With that being said, if I was going rabbit, squirrel, bird or any smaller game hunting the Muck would not be as useful as a blade design like the Bird Dog.
So in my opinion the Bird Dog is "overall" a better multi-purpose hunting blade for a guy that really does not have a good selection of knives to start out with.
