I carried a Ka-Bar style Camillus and somtimes the pilots survival knife when I was with the AF in the war. Naturally, I broke a few of them sticking them and prying open ammo boxes. Later, when I was an Army tank platoon leader, I carried a Gerber Mk II dagger, because as a LT I could afford one and it looked cool. I broke it in a life and death struggle with a book shelf in my BOQ.
