Hi guys,

Here's my 2 cents.

For reference, I'm an active duty soldier in an intensive training schedule while on a short notice deployment alert. I bought a second hand Street Scrapper 4 for my 1st line some time ago from a great gentleman from one of the knife forums and I was absolutely thoroughly impressed with the knife. But...

Sad story part 1.

So I figured since I really need a good solid E&E edged tool for my convoy kit for the dark continent the Dogfather might fit that role perfectly.

I was maybe a good few days, maybe even a week late from the dogfather release and sent an email to Scrapyard enquiring of the availability. Got a answer a week later, while I was in a ftx that no problem, they have one for me and will send it when I confirm my details. So after the ftx ended my reply to that email was like a week from that. And my reply never got a return. Me sad.

Sad story Part 2.

So, then I heard of a new really hard duty combat blade being released so I figured, I have got to secure this one! It would fit the bill spot on in my 2nd line.

I found out the preliminary release schedule and compared it to my training schedule and figured that no way was I so unlucky that I could not get myself a Dumpster Mutt because my ftx during the estimated release time was only a few days overlapping. So my ftx started and the sale had not got started yet. Slightly nervous, after a week I came back and saw that the release had been like two days ago. Went to the company shop and...them Mutts was gone! Me one sad puppy...

I was hit with some big bills this month so I can't even think of getting a second hand Scrapyard anytime soon.

Also, second hand option is not the one I go very easily because of the fact that like some here, I don't like the idea of people purchasing several blades for profit. Also the release system of relatively short supply released in one go seems not to be working for guys on the constant go too well. Too bad because Scrapyard is at the top of my book as far as blades go. They are great combat and hard duty tools I'm sure.

I'm just telling this to give you guys a little perspective, my perspective. Heck, there may be a preorder procedure that I could have used but atleast I am not aware of one.

Thanks for hearing me out. Take care.
