Regardless of a persons preference for steel and design which are both are very important. I believe it comes down to the most important factor, the performance to price ratio. A refined fit and finish are really a secondary concerns to a guy like me who just wants to use a knife for everything possible and not have it fail.

Jerry and I both hold performance as the critical factor in a knife's function. This factor is deeply seated with both of us. This is due to some bad experiences when we were kids. We would save our money for a long time and buy what we thought were good knives only to have them break or have the blade chip away. When we tried to claim on the warranty there was always a loop hole that protected the store/manufacturer and we were out the money, but more importantly the knife. This is why our warranties are iron clad for the customer.

Continue to look to ScrapYard to deliver on the performance to price ratio.
