Hello there and welcome to the Yard. The Regulator may not be the best bushcraft blade but it is a lot better than others. I would echo what Pitman says about finding a SS4, S5, RMD, or HRLM as a true bush blade. Saying that, carry a multi tool in the Regulators sheath and you will have all bases covered from small to large along with a set of pliers.
