I like the clip point on the HEAT a lot. I have both black and plain blades, serrated and not.
The one I play with the most is the plain edge satin blade. Easy to clean up with after cutting up meat, etc.
AUS-8 is prety good; I have no problems with it.
And, as you pointed out, it open like magic.
I am glad you picke up the HEAT. You won't regret it.
