I used to carry a Gerber multi tool - the expensive one ($90?) and it was a piece of garbage... Handles sprung right away, a flathead screwdriver broke right off during normal use... Leatherman is the way to go!
I have the el cheapo Leatherman Kick. It is a great handy tool around the home or anywhere else. I am so impressed with the quality, that I am going to get one of their better ones.
