My first job was a shoe shine boy at a Naval Air Station. Hated to shine those Marine boots! I had my old stand until recently. 25 cents a shine. You could actually buy stuff for a quarter in 1958.
I'll bet that shining a Marines boots was tough...regardless of the money...weren't they always stepping in something...on purpose
