Cool handle mod! I really like the idea of being able to pound on the end of the handle if the need arises.
Yup,I like having the option.I just wish I could have a little metal sticking up above the resc.
You can't see it to well in the one pic but the tang has a couple of good size dings in it.
But the spine of the blade only has a few very small dings on the edges from the ballpeen.
I'm thinking the heat treating doesn't go to the end of the tang & it will deform with repeated pounding,not sure though.
It sure held up great through the pounding it took to get the tip through that 1/8th steel,so the occassional when/if needed pounding should be ok. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />
