I would highly recommend and Mud Puppy to you, I have one myself and it's a great all around carry/kitchen knife. I use mine for all the chopping and food prep that I do, despite the dozens of kitchen knives I have laying around. If you want one, the easiest way to find one would either be BladeForums.com or on Ebay. The limited runs of Dan's knives make them go up in value on the secondary market, however, so expect to pay more than MSRP for one. Believe me though, it's worth it, even if you don't pound it through Barstock! If you're looking for something a tad larger, I believe the Regulator and Deregulators are still fairly inexpensive. I haven't looked recently, but they have sold for less than the original selling price before. One heckuva survival knife, mine rides in the back of the Jeep, JIC!
