I would want a multitool with me for a SHTF scenario. The Charge TTi seems like a a great choice and can be had for less than a $100 if you hunt for it. I would have more than enough left over from the $150 SH is sending us all to buy the extra bit set and have just about all standard size fasteners/screws covered and be able to pick up a sharpener.

I understand a Leatherman isn't something you would baton or anything, but I like the idea of having so much versatility in my pocket.

It is a pain and bad for a blade to be used to open a can of beans. Sharpening an axe with a regular folder is all but impossible. I could go on, but I think you get my point.

I carry a Leatherman daily and use the pliers all the time. The screw driver gets used on occasion as well. I virtually never leave home without it.
