I'm not making fun or dising the Hest. Heck If I can find one for a price I am willing to pay (yeah I am cheap sometimes) I WILL have one. Guess what it actually boils down to for me anyway is the way it looks. The notch, to me, just looks odd, (and It's NOT bad) Possibly in the OLD TIMEY blades I had to use whern I was growing up it could have possibly have made a difference, maybe not. Sometimes, as I said earlier, old habits are hard to get rid of.

I REALLY like the fact that you can lock the blade in the open position. And at first I though that knives with a scale on one side and not the other were really weird. Well the look has grown on me and the notch is starting to. They probably don't make cream sodas with twist off tops, so I will probably have to by a Hest one of these days.

AND the glass breaker could come in handy for me. I have seen more than a few wrecks going back and forth to work and running around with the guys.
