You can also hold the part of the sheath you want to heat up over the stove burner.Hold the mouth of the sheath over the burner till it gets soft,then insert the vore & press them between some foam,or towels if you don't have foam pads.
I use the stove for flairing the mouth & forming the thumb ramp after the sheath has set/hardened in the press.(can't stand the noise of a hair drier/heat gun,but they do work. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />)
My press is 2 pieces of foam glued to 2x8s.
I just stand on them till the kydex cools enough that it won't deform when I handle it.(1-2 mins.)
