Iwith you on the redundancy. I have been thinking about upgrading to the F15-1200 or getting a second 600. After reading your response, I am set on the second 600 since you can daisy chain them.

Only the AA/USB Powerfilm requires batteries to charge USB devices. The rest come with cigarette lighter adapters and only need light.

I was turned on to Powerfilm in Indonesia during a deployment during a response to an earthquake. I was pretty much rogue, hopping from place to place and didn't have access to generators and the grid was down. I was issued one of the large models to charge my laptop, camera, sat-phone and satellite uplink. It was a camo version made for the military and worked great even after my abuse.

I can't say they are better than the one Monkey Bomb has since I have no experience with them. I am curious to see what MB has to say about his after a year or so. I hope it holds up as I like having options.
