Thanks JJ, I have a leupold on order but have heard a few good comments on the vortex line. I was thinking that mounting direct to receiver would help with that height variation a bit. It will be interesting to figure out where the trajectory of scope zero vs iron sights intersect.

Have you noticed any difference in point of impact between take down and re assembly. I was wondering about that since the scope is mounted to the receiver and the barrel is taken down and remounted again.
