Get an Aimpoint.

Anyone tested these for accuracy? I'm skeptical of sub-moa performance out of the box....and this is why I'd lean towards Aimpoint / RDS over magnification.

A small review from Chucky...http://www.chuckhawks.com/ruger_gunsite_scout_rifle.htm Average group @ 50 YDS!!! = 1.83"

I love the concept (which is why I own an 18" 308 w/ DBM). I don't like Ruger....or the poor implementation of the system. I think you'd be better off getting a savage like their scout model, or their "precision carbine" model (or Rem 700, or anything other than ruger), cutting the barrel back to 18", and installing a new bottom metal from CDI Precision that accepts AI/AW mags. Install peep sights to your hearts content. Get a better stock down the road. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

I'd take an AK over these scouts, especially with that type of accuracy. And, I'd take an AR over the AK :P

Apologies for the ruger bashing. I just think this could've been done so much better for the consumer.
