Rat - I wouldn't think that there is any difference other than comfort, but mine is the only 1911 that I've ever shot, so I don't really know much about 1911's in general.
I have never shot one, and only held others. I like the look and feel.
I was thinking of getting some kind of pocket pistol for summer carry too.
