A yard golok is what I want. you may say it is too short but the brkt golok is only 18 inches, valiant goloks are about 24 inches unless you but the small golok which is 20 inches. a scrap yard golok 20 to 24 inches would be perfect, or a yard barong or panga in the 24 inch length would be great.

(Great composite picture!) I'd consider buying one but only if the yard starts sending knives out sharp or even better flat ground with an inclusive angle of no more than 50 degrees. I still haven't really finished setting up my DF's edge properly (wouldn't even draw cut paper on arrival..) and I have a Basic 7 to get sharp (a bit better than the DF on arrival..). The idea of trying to get that swords edge sharp would totally put me off buying! And probably give me nightmares..

To give fair and proper credit, the composite picture is based on a photo provided by Resinguy from Busse-Bladeforums of his polished Ruck Kensei.
I photo-chopped it (edited out his little pig) and added a Res-C handle.
Thanks Resinguy - if you see this!

Of course you just described the BR Northwind, except the res-c handle. 17.25" blade with 5.5" handle IIRC. My favorite blades and seemingly popular topic for me tonight. yea ya were bro...! Put me down for one of those bro!

paul, you have had some bad luck. the S6 and dm were dull but the df and guard were much better.

Wow I love that pic. It would be perfect but it would need the same traditional tanto point like the Taliwhacker and a bit longer hand and a half res c handle. The handle might be a deal killer though as making new ones is expensive. It might be worth while though as a magnum handle available on a run of DF's or a fatty uber Dogfather to compete with the Fatty FBM.

That would work for me. But, I don't have a problem with the Kensei point. A long Taliwhacker sounds good!
