We used to have a cheap Revereware set. But since got into the Chicago Cutlery stuff. I have an old butcher in carbon steel by them and it gets scary sharp.

Getting difficult finding good subjects, I just dont want to post drivel. That would be too easy for me to do. Although its debatable what I've posted so far "isnt" drivel.

question LeatherDog, big chopper or axe? and why? cons and pros of both. I'm debating this myself and want to hear what others think (and gives you reason to post )

I got one, standard Remington 870 Police barrel is 18"....would have to measure it for the overall length. The other one is a Remington 870 Police...but I have replace the normal 18" barrel, with a 12.5" barrel....which I had threaded for standard remingtom chokes......once agian, I would have to measure it for the overall length.

I'm debating this myself and want to hear what others think (and gives you reason to post ) Since I'm more of a knife guy I prefer a big chopper. Its just a more flexible tool. You can chop the firewood, split it, and prep the food all with one tool. And it makes a servicable spatula/turner in a fix.
