so In Canada is Thanksgiving like it is in America? Were it is really a day of family, friends, gluttony, and turkey leftovers? If so that is great.

One of my best friends is Native, and he works for the forest service. Anyways, he was talking to his dad, who is a surveyor for their tribe about an hour from here, and said something about going for a hike on Monday. His dad said "We don't get Columbus Day off at the Tribe!!"
Thats pretty funny, in a not so terribly funny way - to me anyways!

It sure feels good to celebrate yet another Thanksgiving Day here in the Great White North. I was born and raised here. I have been all over the world in my travels and always long to come home. Where my heart is.
Something nearer to God for me living here. Relaxed,non political,free from most pain and suffering. I may have Canadian blinders on or perhaps it is a great place to live.
I prefer to think the latter.
