Gravelface, ..I broke a fixed blade crap truck stop knife in 4 swings against my stump of love. LOL.. truck stop knife! Hey some of my best styrofoam cups came from truck stops! one lasted almost 800 miles!

It was a gift.....maybe my friends don't realize I like "High Performance" knives not high humor knives....it was one of those compass handled with 3 matches...I kept the handle...not sure what happened to the blade.

hehe.. i hate "gifts" like that..
this x-mas someone bought me a book.. yeah the reading type w/ only words in it.. i said "What the hell am i gonna do with this??"
Can't chop with it! can't throw it very far! what a waste..
exchanged it for 2 boxes of ammo and a pack of cigarettes.. (yeah it was a pretty expensive book!)

A hollow handle knife is worse than a folder. Its basically a folder with the blade pinned in place with a piece of snare wire.

There are books about knives
I like the spydy fixed blades the new Hossom one is a bigun and the Lum tanto is a thing of beauty. Extrema Ratio makes their folders to be used like a sharpend prybar. It does not work well for traditional cutting though but it is for cutting your way out of crashed aircraft and other emergencys.

Unsub, There are books about knives hmm.. good idea.. books with pictures! i think my attention span could handle that! Yes, there are a bunch of fixed-blades on my To Try List.. Mora 61-62 Rc laminated steel blade, Fallkniven something, Spyderco's new "bushcraft knife" if it ever comes out.. Folders.. i still need to try: Emerson, some more Spydercos, One of these days.. Chris Reeves.

Well, if you are going to try some other fixed blades, then you MUST get at least one Tom Krein knife!!
I personally have a Charles May Fire AnT on order; with green dyed bone.
And yes, I think a Sebbie is a must for any knife collector.
