I know I wander a bit. Comparing this knife and that. I don't have every model variation that SY has made. Cold One does. I don't have the S6LE or the Urban Keeper. But I do have a version of every SY knife made. Here are my stripped and buffed ones: ![[Linked Image from i173.photobucket.com]](http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w64/rivershaman/Busse/Scrappers003.jpg) Left to right: Dog Father, Yard Guard, Scrapper 6, and Dumpster Mutt. ![[Linked Image from i173.photobucket.com]](http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w64/rivershaman/Busse/Scrappers004.jpg) If you get close, you will see that they are not completely satin finished, ![[Linked Image from i173.photobucket.com]](http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w64/rivershaman/Busse/Scrappers007.jpg) The Yard Keeper LE and DMLE are my only two factory satin finished knives. I included the SS4 in the picture because it has a logo and was limited. ![[Linked Image from i173.photobucket.com]](http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w64/rivershaman/Busse/Scrappers009.jpg) ![[Linked Image from i173.photobucket.com]](http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w64/rivershaman/Busse/Scrappers010.jpg) The Tan handled S6 and Urban Mutt both have sage colored blades. ![[Linked Image from i173.photobucket.com]](http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w64/rivershaman/Busse/Scrappers011.jpg) ![[Linked Image from i173.photobucket.com]](http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w64/rivershaman/Busse/Scrappers012.jpg) ![[Linked Image from i173.photobucket.com]](http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w64/rivershaman/Busse/Scrappers014.jpg) Here is a standard black S6 and Yard Hook. ![[Linked Image from i173.photobucket.com]](http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w64/rivershaman/Busse/Scrappers015.jpg) ![[Linked Image from i173.photobucket.com]](http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w64/rivershaman/Busse/Scrappers017.jpg) Here are all my Scrapper 6s. I like the S6 a lot. [img] http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w64/rivershaman/Busse/Scrappers018.jpg[/img]

very nice collection. now when dan releases some urban mutts to the masses you can edge closer to completing your collection.

I like the S6s and DMs the best out of the SY offerings. They are great all around use knives.
  Thanks HD!

The S6 is my favorite all-around knife. It is light enough for easy carry and big enough for chopping and hard use. It is the modern version of the old Mk 2 Combat/Utility knife (kabar).

I sadly don't have an S6. I just missed them and was not excited enough about the tan ones to import one so I am really hoping there is a rerelease. Personally I think you would have a complete collection if you had the S6LE. I don't really consider one offs to be necessary, nice but not necessary. You would have to have both the HookGuard and YardGuard though.

horndog, I agree with your assessment of the S6, but... the DM is beginning to really stand out to me. I EDC the DMCG in my briefcase, now. I had a S6CG in there, since I had one. It is a much less 'alarming' knife to use, compared sizewise to the S6.
But.... I like the S6 enough that I will pick up a second tan for a user, if the opportunity arose. A OD would be fine, as well.

Don't worry, Unsub. If there is such a thing as a recurring Scrapper, its the S6. The balance is perfect. It is one of those knives that feels better than it looks, not that it looks bad. I tend to buy them whenever they are offered. It's nuts. All I need is one.

if any knife is going to be released with the dogfather (wich i sadly can't get) i'd want it to be a tan s6.
im never going to be able to get my hands on the infamous dogfather.
