edge durability is a separate objective, with directly conflicting geometry requirements, so you have to make a choice and come to a compromise between edge durability and efficiency

Nice blade Ted,
There has been some serious suckage embracing this week for many of us, so don't feel bad. We all weaken at times. If it makes you feel better, I weakened 23 times this week alone! AND two or three of those weak times saved YOU cuz I know you would have bought em if I had not! I have your back man!
Thanks, I'm right behind you with my Spyderco and Matt Bailey purchases and other stuff I'm around 16 knives for the week. If you lived closer we could really do some damage by not getting the duplicates. Oh Well... I managed to get one of his BEFORE he put it up for YOU to snag so I'm watching your back too. Now if I just stay away from Oregon and Skunk. The new Busse blades are sweet. I like the Sarsquatch and some of the colors for the other knives are really sweet.

is that symmetrically ground/sharpened on both edges? gonna use it? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" /> It really is a sweet blade. If I had one double-edged, I'd want a slicing edge and a chopping edge. It is symmetrical and the fuller is on both sides. The blade is fully convexed on both sides. A few people have mentioned they would like to see a slicing and chopping side. I believe Mike said - NO

Ted, If you go to Oregon, let me know! I would love to get a SAR5, (after you of course!)
