Yeah, I like the Ontario RATs as well as the Rat Cutlery RATs. They are different from a lot of the knives in that size that we all talk about here on these forums though. They are much thinner stock than a Scrapper or a Ranger as you can tell from the pictures. They are still very tough knives, easy to sharpen, and they are wonderful slicers. Actually, one of my favorite all-arounder type under 5" blades has always been the original Ontario RAT Tak-I. It has a nice big hand filling handle and perfect balance.
I have all of the RATs in 1095 and in D2 and I personally like the 1095 versions better. Nothing wrong with D2, but 1095 makes more sense in knives like these. If I was going to pick one to buy and use in D2 it would be the RAT-3, but I still prefer 1095.
You will notice that I didn;t picture a RAT-5. I have had a couple of them, but I don't like the ridiculous pointed skull crusher pommel they have so I sold them both.
