I love Jeff's piggy back systems. Jeff does outstanding work! The sheath and the blades will last tiy a lifetime.

It's a little heavy, but I carry it well (I'm a good sized lad). I will have to get a gun belt or maybe a duty belt of some sort.

I'm gonna have to go out and find me a DMLE to go along with the DFLE. I passed on the release like an idiot, so it'll be secondary market for me.

I'm needing a sheath for my CGFBM and I'm seriously considering a ferhman final judgement, which I'll need a sheath for as well. I'm hoping to talk RW into just regular swivel rigs for them (no piggy back). Another thing I really need is a Renegade Hawk. I've had dreams about getting one, but was afraid to pull the trigger not knowing when the DFLE would be released.

I need to hit the lottery or something.

I love the swivel. You can tell when big knife is actually meant to be carried when it has a means to let it move around. I also like the skand pouch style sheaths which have a similar system. I had a M6 with one of the very well made armourall sheaths and it was a bit big even for the belt loop carry. I am fond of the really old school methods like having a baldric. I also made a budget version of the HSGI suspenders and a 2 inch webbing belt that will work well for DFLE sized knives. The only problem is I end up looking more like Herman Goering than Arnold in that kind of gear.

I thought about that Arkie, the weight issue with thick blades, it's why when I get mine I will use a Sak or something small for my baby-back <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

I'm using a FFBM for my big blade, with something weency like the yard hook for the back. it's important to have a smaller blade for delicate tasks.

Sounds about right. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> The FFBM is a beast of a chopper. It weighs nearly two pounds!

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

Arkie, I'm glad you like the sheath and I'm happy it's working out well. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I thought it turned out pretty good, it was my first swivel, so I learned a lot too.

One significant point, I laminated kydex into the back and into the loop to hopefully help support the weight. It added a little to the thickness but I think it was worth it.

Thanks Guys. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Arkie, you are a lucky man. Rainwalker sticks again, with a user.
