Canada's Mountain Equipment Co-Op (Canada's equivelant to REI and EMS) banned Nalgene products and other makers of polycorbonate plastics due to cancer causing ingredient.
My nalgene bottle has rotting OJ in it so a bit of plastic leaching is my least worry. I think it is funny that it is usually the most health conscious who use nalgene bottles. I guess I will have to go aluminium?

I've been carrying 2 of these, 1 I take to work and the other in my LRBOB kit. The one I have is 32 oz backpacker stainless steel with stainless threads, just the cap is plastic. I've boiled water in it, it is non vac jacket and will fit water filters and steripen.
I've been following this for a while, the guy in the link below says it's especially important not to wash them in the dishwasher. Why not just be safe and get a Klean Kanteen... as a bonus, you can boil in it if you need to.
