DMelone,
Hope all turns out better than expected with you Father-in-Law. This cancer mess is hard to deal with. It hard to believe when I was a kid you didn't hear of it much, and now days it touches everyone some how or another.
I believe Aunt Sue is better of and thank goodness, she didn't suffer to long. Thanks all for your support, prayers and smoke. You are all a fine bunch of Dogs.

My father in law has been in the hospital since last Friday afternoon. They finally let him eat broth on Monday. He had sharp stabbing pains in the stomach and the first said that he may have a bad infection and hyatel hernia. They have not told him anything else until last night when my wife and brother in law went to visit him. I asked the nurse to call the doctor who said that he has anemia and it may be diverticulitis or colon cancer. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />
I am asking for some smoke and prayers that it turns out to be and infection or at least diverticulitis which would be better than the you know what.

Please let us know how the surgery went Dan. The surgery was over aroun 6:00 PM or so. We have been there since noon. They said that it was a mass that reached up to the belly button. The doctor made a shape with her hands the size of a softball. It does not look good. She had to send a part of the colon to be tested and he has a bag. We saw him afterward and he was in pain. Thanks again guys! The prayers help.
