My wife feels the stubble on my arm and says dear you've been sharpening your knives again haven't you....

I am right handed, so my left arm perpetually has no hair I am almost embarrassed to wear short sleeves

LOL Yep.....

JYD#14 Do you need one, of course you do it's a knife and you like knives.....

Oh yeah, It bothered the wife more than me ,cause of the DFLE was a early Christmas gift.but like you guy's said ,after a couple more workouts and a touchup or two it will be good as new.And after all that chopping and cutting it still shaved.

I hope this ain't your wifes leg !!!!

I have given my DM some hard use battoning through some tough wood and it rolled or chipped slightly ( too small to see which ) but no knife is totally indestructible, these along with Busse's and Swamprats are about as close as you will get !

There is always going to be a slight trade off with blade hardness and brittleness etc !

Welcome to the Yard, hkbf150.

Looks like that DFLE got a pretty good warming up.

I can't wait to take mine out and put a few scratches on it.

I kinda feel sorry for Dan. When the knife is indestructible we want it thinner and sharper and when he does that we want it not to chip or roll. I guess he is just going to have to try harder

Those are not to bad a size for chips but i am glad you showed them. We need honest reports. Also the type of wood can make a big difference. Maple compared to spruce say.

ahhh yes!
my left hair finally has hair growing back on it! my right has just a ton of bald patches.

I'm so embarresed when people are like you have like no hair on your arms and im like "i shaved it....accidentally" (right cause i just happened to shave all the hiar off of my arim by accident) and i can not feel more stupid... i have weak skinny arms as it is...if i dont have hair on them they look girly!

just what i need as a freshmen in highschool.

after having that initial chip I was worried, but it held up 100% since then!

i never seem to get this... do people think that a chip in a knife wil really effect/weaken the blade?
do you know how many chips sr77 can take without effecting the blade.
